Figure it Out: Lucía Vidales Selects, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, September 20, 2025—January 11, 2026

In a bold reimagining of her Atrium commission, Lucía Vidales transformed her 2024 Atrium commission to enter into dialogue with selected works in the Kemper’s collection as part of the museum’s ongoing commitment to fostering deeper connections with the artist collaborations and engagement with the collection, the museum’s foundation. Vidales’ explores the expanded figure, along with migration and class will serve as a lens through which these pieces are reinterpreted. This curatorial intervention invites viewers to see the collection anew, as living material in dialogue with contemporary voices.
